Refuge is my only portrait in this series where the woman is looking away and in doing so invites contemplation into the mystery of her thoughts. The title, Refuge, came to me as the woman is finding solace and sanctuary among the beauty of the flowers and in her harmonious coexistence between the flowers and the bees.
